The folks at HTCInside.de managed to snap a picture of the listing for Vodafone Germany’s stock system and discovered something juicy – an entry for a phone called the “Desire 2”. It is listed alongside the other phones such as the Desire, Desire Z and Desire HD, so we know that the 2 can’t be a typo, but it is listed as Desire 2 HTC instead of HTC prefixing the phone like the other phones in the list. It might mean nothing, it might mean something. Now we’re not one to jump to conclusions, but could this could be a sign that HTC are set to unveil the successor to the original Desire at the upcoming Mobile World Congress? The original HTC Desire made its debut at last year’s MWC, so it seems fitting for its sequel to do the same this year. Desire fans, keep your fingers crossed.
