Good news for Google Nexus phone owners – in an official tweet from the Google Nexus account, they have announced that they have started rolling out a new version of Gingerbread (Android 2.3.3) to the Nexus S and Nexus One. This update will bring some much needed fixes to the Nexus S (random reboots and crashes) as well as bring Gingerbread officially to the Nexus One for the first time. I’m sure some of you are probably quaking in your boots now. While the update has been launched, Google has mentioned that it will take a few weeks to completely roll out, so if you haven’t received that notification on your phone yet, hold on. If you have received the latest version of Gingerbread on your device, let us know how the update goes.

Update (2/25): For those of you who don’t wish to wait for the over the air (OTA) update, you can obtain the official update here and update your phone yourself  (instructions courtesy of Android Central). As usual, make sure you back up your device and know what you’re doing before attempting anything. For those of you who are less adventurous, you can just wait for the OTA update.
