We already know of the ZTE Peel that allows you to convert your iPod touch into a pseudo-iPhone, but did you ever think of hacking together your own solution? Someone out there decided that it was possible and used a 3rd generation iPod touch in order to achieve this. All that was needed to be done was thread the iPod earphones through a plastic casing around the media player, ensuring that the earphones are located at the top. It’s a very rudimentary solution, but it would work, and the instructions have been posted online. Too bad the plastic casing doesn’t magically add support for a SIM card.
