BlackBerry PlayBook to show up on Verizon’s network?
The BlackBerry PlayBook that’s been announced to arrive on Sprint later this year could find its way on Verizon’s network as well. A page was discovered online recently, giving users the chance to register for a beta program where users can try out the PlayBook before launch, and on the page the Verizon name is mentioned along with its logo on the top and bottom. There was no mention if it would be connecting to Verizon’s 4G LTE network, but it is stated that the tablet will have access to 3G networks when paired up with a BlackBerry phone though its built-in WiFi radio. Having their tablet appear exclusively on one network would probably harm RIM’s sales of their QNX tablet, and another carrier can only mean good news for them. Let’s see if other networks pick up the tablet as well.
