Virgin Mobile Samsung Intercept getting Froyo in spring

Somehow it feels like every Samsung phone except the Galaxy S in the states is getting an upgrade to Android 2.2. Virgin Mobile has just announced in a tweet that the Samsung Intercept will be getting a nice delicious serving of Froyo sometime this spring. The update has already been out for the Intercept on Sprint, so it was going to be only a matter of time before it would arrive on Virgin Mobile and now that it’s been officially announced, all we have to do is wait. The Froyo update is supposed to bring a lot of improvements to the phone, so if you’ve been holding out for it, your patience will be rewarded.
