Verizon purchases iPhone-related domains

Whether in an attempt to safeguard their property for the future or they’re giving us a sign of things to come, Verizon has been purchasing Verizon iPhone-related domain names from their previous owners. A company called Verizon Trademark Services LLC has been purchasing domain names such as iphoneverizon.com and iphoneforverizon.com. The same company owns the domain name Verizon.com so we’re pretty sure they’re affiliated with Big Red. With the domain names being purchased way back in 2008, it looks like Apple and Verizon have been working on the Verizon iPhone for awhile now. I guess it’s only going to be a matter of time before it surfaces.
