When Sony Ericsson released the Xperia family of Android phones, one of the most appalling features of the phones were that they were still on Android 1.6 and they didn’t have multi-touch support. It was the year 2010 and multi-touch was pretty much the norm on every smartphone available, but for some strange reason, Sony Ericsson decided not to include any support for it on their phones. Good thing we have kind folks over at the XDA-developers forum. Bin4ry, a forum member/developer has released an upgrade to enable dual-touch on the Xperia X10. This update will work on all ROMs – both official and custom variations, so if you’ve been missing out on the multi-touch experience on your X10, head over to XDA-developers to get your hands (or should I say fingers) on it. As usual, please remember to backup all your data and make sure you know what you’re doing before attempting anything. Let us know how it goes.
