It’s not fun that farmers sometimes have to suffer crop loss due to erratic and sudden changes in the climate and now the University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS) has something that might be able to help them reduce the losses. The university has been sending them timely text messages on the weather forecast for free. The text messages offer information such as humidity, maximum and minimum temperatures for the next two days and are sent once in three days. The information will purportedly help farmers plan agricultural activities like sowing, harvesting and spraying pesticides.
