Apple’s co-founder Steve Wozniak (aka Woz) recently gave some possible insight into the delay of the white iPhone 4. While there have been many rumors going around, some folks speculated that it might be related to the camera. Woz actually bought some white iPhone 4 parts and modified his iPhone, but noticed that any photo taken with the flash on looked as though it were taken through cellophane, due to the spilled light. Aside from that, he mentioned that he experienced issues with the proximity sensor too.
Of course, do bear in mind that Woz isn’t officially speaking on Apple’s behalf and wasn’t using an official white iPhone (rather a modified one), so it might have been the quality of the third-party components that he was using too, but it does offer us some interesting ideas as to why the white iPhone 4 might have been delayed.
