Steve Jobs and Rupert Murdoch to launch the Daily on January 19

According to reports online, the upcoming iPad newspaper, The Daily, will be launched at an upcoming event on January 19. The event will feature Rupert Murdoch and Steve Jobs on stage to introduce their long-awaited iPad newspaper to the country. The Daily which had rumors about it brewing since late last year was predicted to get a December launch, along with the new iOS update that enables an App Store subscription feature. Since then we haven’t heard any news about the e-newspaper, but the latest reports seem definite on the January 19 launch date. With a core full-time editorial staff working on the content, and a $30 million investment from Murdoch himself, it is one of the most ambitious iPad apps in recent months.
