Samsung still working on Galaxy S Froyo update
It’s 2011 and all the Samsung Galaxy S variants in America are still stuck on Android 2.1. Well according to a tweet from Samsung, the reason for this has been because they are still working on the updates to make the update as simple and as reliable as possible. This is kind of odd because Samsung has released the Froyo update for the same Galaxy S phones that have been on different carriers. Unless the carriers have been messing about with the phones, I don’t see why there should be a problem. Let’s hope that they’re secretly readying Gingerbread for the Galaxy S phones instead. That would definitely make up for the extremely late Froyo which might not even show up anytime soon. Have you guys given up on waiting for the official update and took matters into your own hands instead?
