Samsung Galaxy S 2 confirmed to have a dual-core processor
The successor to Samsung’s best-selling Android phone, the Samsung Galaxy S has remained mostly in secrecy, with nary a solid leak to give us some clue to what the phone will be. It was always assumed that the next generation Galaxy S, the Galaxy S 2 will have a dual-core processor, but it was never confirmed – until today. Samsung’s latest press release about their financial updates gives us some new details on the upcoming phone.
Samsung announced it will introduce the successor to its Galaxy S smartphone during the first half of 2011, featuring a dual-core processor and Super AMOLED Plus display to further enrich user experience.
This confirms that the Galaxy S 2 will be powered by a dual-core processor and will have a Super AMOLED Plus display. With the Mobile World Congress (where the phone is supposed to make its debut) just around the corner, we wonder if any more details about it will leak before then.
