Notion Ink Adam pre-order shipments delayed due to FCC

The Notion Ink Adam tablet, the star of CES 2011, was supposed to ship out today to customers who had pre-ordered the device. But it looks like it won’t be today after all – Notion Ink sent out an email to its customers informing them about the delay and explaining the reason behind it. The Android tablets won’t be on their way out to eager hands just yet because the FCC has not given the final approval to the devices for them to have their FCC and CE numbers printed on them. Apparently the it was because of the holiday season in December which caused paperwork to be pushed back. There’s a silver lining to the bad news though – Notion Ink promises that the devices should be cleared within this week, so if you pre-ordered an Adam, expect it to be arriving within the next two weeks.
