Nokia might release a dual-core Android phone?
Wow. Yes, that should be the expression on your face. Apparently Nokia are in the midst of producing an Android handset that is powered by TI’s OMAP 4 dual-core processor. A Linux file automatically generated from the OMAP hardware databases has recently surfaced on the internet with two big names in the tech industry: Texas Instruments and Nokia Corporation. And the processor in question is the powerful 1.5GHz TI OMAP4 that was revealed last December. If speculations turn out to be true, we could be looking at one monstrous phone – and we like it!
Unbelievable? Absolutely. But who’s to say it won’t happen? Forget what Nokia said about never running Android on their phones. If the Finnish mobile giant has to resort to such extreme measures to make a comeback, then such measures they shall use. I for one am excited about a Nokia Android phone – you can’t go wrong with a great operating system running on solid hardware. But take this news with a grain of salt (actually make that the whole salt shaker) because like all rumors, they stay rumors until officially announced. What are your thoughts on a Nokia-Android phone?
