The PlayStation Phone/Xperia Play has surfaced online yet again, this time with a whole load of photographs and video footage. The device looks like it’s close to completion, and should be ready for its imminent announcement and release anytime now. Some new specs have been revealed and we now know what’s under the device’s hood. A 1 GHz Snapdragon QSD8255 aided by a Qualcomm Adreno 205 GPU (found in the HTC Desire HD as well), 512MB RAM, 512MB ROM, a 4″ FWVGA LCD screen with 854 x 480 resolution, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, noise cancelling microphones and a 1,500mAh battery. New benchmark test results have also been released – this time it delivers 59.1FPS in Neocore and 1,733 point in Quadrant – an improvement over the tests taken last year – I guess this shows that improvement in software optimizations have been made. We’ll just have to wait for the final product to know its real scores. Head here for a plethora of details, photographs and videos of the PlayStation Phone/Xperia Play.
