Microsoft OneNote now on iOS

Microsoft, a company that has usually reserved their productive apps and for their own operating systems has finally broken down and brought their OneNote app over to the iOS. The handy note-taking application that was previously available only on Windows and Windows Phone 7 has been unleashed onto the “enemy’s” operating system. Previously, Microsoft hadn’t released any apps that weren’t meant to be cross-platform and OneNote marks a departure from that unwritten law. With so many apps already doing the same thing on iOS, Microsoft probably felt there was no need to keep their app trapped on their own platform and that it would be better to allow everyone to use it instead. Not to mention it would enable a whole load of new SkyDrive subscribers and help to spread the word about Office. Sure sounds like a win-win situation for both Microsoft and the consumers. If you’re interested in checking out this note-taking app from Microsoft, head over to the iTunes App Store now. It is now available for free (for a limited time), so hurry up before the offer expires.
