While the iPad 2 hasn’t been officially unveiled yet, plenty of rumors and leaks about this upcoming tablet have been going around. Now some additional discoveries have surfaced, giving us good news and bad news. The good news is that folks have discovered references to a rear-facing camera on the iPad 2; the bad news is that the references hint that it will be a 1-megapixel unit, similar to the current-generation iPod touch, but a far cry from the 5-megapixel unit on the iPhone 4. It was also mentioned that the front-facing camera will be a VGA unit. The iPad 2 was also given a codename of K94 and speculation is that the 1-megapixel camera is due to the tapering of the iPad 2’s edges, according to the dummy units that we’ve seen before this.
