iGotYa helps you find your stolen iPhone 4

If you thought Apple’s Find My iPhone service was great, wait ’til you get a load of this. iGotYa is an app that safeguards your iPhone 4 by sending you pictures of people trying to get past your lockscreen, as well as inform you of your phone’s location. iGotYa works with your iPhone’s native iOS passcode lock system. All you have to do is set up the app, and every time someone tries to unlock your phone and fails it snaps a picture using the front facing camera on your iPhone 4. Of course nobody expects this (at least until word of this app gets out), and the app emails it to you along with the current GPS location of the device. With that data, it shouldn’t be too hard to find the culprit if you act fast. The app also features a “security mode” that will allow you to restore access your device even though it’s been locked down due to all the failed attempts at unlocking your phone. The app is available for $5.99 on Cydia, with a 10-day trial as well. Too bad the app isn’t available for non-jailbroken iPhones, if not I can see it as a hot seller on the iTunes App Store. Check out a video of the app in action after the break:
