Remember previous reports about how Honeycomb (Android 3.0) requires a dual-core processor in order to run? It turns out that the myth has been busted. Google engineer Dan Morrill has come forward again, with an announcement on Twitter saying that “there’s no hard minimum processor requirement for Honeycomb. Trust me, if there were I’d know.” Looks like all your Froyo/Gingerbread phones will be able to upgrade to Honeycomb after all. Galaxy Tab owners, you can sleep at ease now. But for manufacturers to provide the update for their Android devices – that’s another story.
