While CES was happening on the other side of the world, Taiwanese manufacturer, Gigabyte decided to have its own local launch party for the unveiling of the S1080 Windows 7 tablet. The tablet comes with a 10.1″ capacitive touchscreen (1024 x 600 resolution), a dual-core Intel Atom N550 processor, 320 GB of storage, a VGA port, 2 USB 3.0 ports, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, WiFi, Bluetooth, an SD card reader and an Ethernet port. Going on sale next month, it is expected to cost less than $300. It sounds pretty interesting for a budget Windows 7 tablet, and it doesn’t look too shabby either. Stay tuned for more details on the tablet.
