We already know that Skype and Facebook collaborate on certain issues, such as allowing Facebook friends to post status or news feed updates directly from within the Skype client on Windows machines. Now it seems that there might be more from that collaboration as folks noticed a “Call” button surface briefly on Skype’s messaging interface, though it was quickly removed. While there isn’t any official confirmation just yet, perhaps we’ve stumbled upon an upcoming voice-calling feature from within Facebook’s web interface, and if it’s true, it would be a very interesting service, not to mention we’re curious of the impact that it will have on Skype and other VoIP services.
