For the final BlackBerry leak of the day (in case you guys were getting bored), we have the updated version of the BlackBerry Torch. Simply known as the Torch 2 (no fancy name like Dakota or Apollo), it still packs the slide out QWERTY like the original, this time it gets a bigger boost to its internals: a 1.2GHz processor, 3.2″ (640 x 480) capacitive touchscreen, 8GB internal memory, 512MB of RAM (strange that it should have less RAM than the Dakota), WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, 5 megapixel camera, a magnetometer (a device used to measure the strength of a magnet), a 1300mAh battery, BlackBerry OS 6.1 and OpenGL ES. Nothing extraordinary besides the magnetometer – does it serve any purpose on the phone? I guess we’ll find out. RIM should be announcing more details at Mobile World Congress if not anywhere else, stay tuned.
