Apple’s Photo Stream to copy Microsoft’s Photo Hub?

While it’s quite common to see other companies out there try and ape features that Apple’s devices offer, now word is going around that Apple might be preparing a Photo Stream service that will function in a similar manner to Microsoft’s Photo Hub. If everything falls into place, Photo Hub will constantly monitor for images posted by your contacts and will update with the latest pictures as they’re uploaded, a behavior that Photo Stream will mimic. Photo Stream is said to watch for new photos that are uploaded to MobileMe by a user’s contacts and automatically feed them through the app. We already know that social networking is a big deal and Apple has dipped its toes into the game with its Ping service, and now maybe Photo Stream will be another attempt at the social networking pie.
