VLC, one of the most popular open source video players in the world, might be making its way to an Android phone near you. According to a VLC developer, Jean-Baptiste Kempf, VLC was previously not ported to Android due to limitations in software. Now that a new version of the Android NDK was released, VLC for Android is possible and we should see it on our Android phones in a few weeks.
