Vibrant and Fascinate get Froyo in Canada

What is going on with our carriers? It sure feels like they’re not getting off their bums to make sure our Samsung Galaxy S users get the latest OS updates. It has just been made known that the Vibrant and Fascinate Galaxy S phones will be getting Froyo (Android 2.2), only if you’re in Canada. The Samsung Vibrant, that’s being sold by Bell, Virgin Mobile and SaskTel, and the Samsung Fascinate, that’s being sold by Telus have just received the update to Android 2.2. Hopefully the updates won’t be cause any trouble to their users. To update for phone if you have a Galaxy S phone from one of the mentioned carriers, just plug your phone into your computer, run Kies, and you’re done. Again, make sure that you back up your data, you never know what might go wrong. Enjoy the updates while you can, as the folks over here wait patiently for an update that might never see the light of day.
