US Marines experimented with iPads for recruitment

To add to the ever growing list of ways to use your iPod, we have recruiting marines as a possibility. According to a report from the Military Times, the Corps has been experimenting with using the iPad to recruit new troops into the force. Instead of giving recruits paper forms to fill up like in the past, they now enter their details into an iPad. By letting recruits enter the data themselves, the Corps didn’t need to transfer data from paper to their databases- since it was already digital. This also saved them a lot of time and headache, as well as reduced errors due to the fact that the handwritten forms often had illegible handwriting. The Corps mentioned that they weren’t sure if they would be continuing the usage of iPads for such purposes, but they’ve recognized the potential of the tablet. Can you think of any other ways the Marines can use the iPad?
