Skype has just announced the availability of an updated client for their latest Symbian phones- the N8, C7 and E5. After being left out in the dark, these Symbian^3 phones can finally join their brethren in enjoying free Skype-to-Skype calls over 3G or WiFi, making cheaper international calls, and instant messaging and file sharing with other Skype users. Skype also mentioned that the app will include the SILK codec that makes sure “calls are crystal clear, even when you’re on a low-bandwidth connection.” If you’ve been waiting for Skype to reach your Symbian^3 phone, today is the day. Head here on your phone’s browser to download it.
