While it has been reported before, Samsung has finally thrown in the Symbian towel for good. They have just issued a notice to their Symbian developers stating that they will discontinue their Symbian support service from December 31 2010. The Symbian Forum will close down on December 30 (today) at 1am, and the Symbian Content will be removed tomorrow at 1am. So if you have anything Symbian that you want to save or archive, we suggest you do it now. With Samsung showing no more interest in Symbian, it looks like they will be moving forward with phones running the bada, Android and Windows Phone 7 operating systems. After all, there’s only so many operating systems you can deal with while ensuring phone quality right?
