It looks like Samsung has finally realized the potential and power of social gaming platforms like GameCenter and OpenFeint. It has been reported recently that Samsung and ngmoco, DeNa will be teaming to bring a social gaming platform to Samsung phones. Called Mobage (doesn’t it sound like mobile cabbage to you?), it will allow users to connect with other games, track their statuses, compete against the scores other users, and enable multiplayer games. Mobage will be released in the coming months for Samsung Android phones, though hopefully they will offer a cross-platform gaming experience between Samsung’s Windows Phone 7, and bada OS phones as well in the future.
