Samsung Galaxy S runs Gingerbread

It was bound to happen sooner or later, and looks like over the weekend, the folks at xda-developers managed to port Gingerbread (Android 2.3) over to the Samsung Galaxy S. Considering how the Samsung Galaxy S is almost like the Nexus S with a few differences (i.e. the NFC chip, front facing camera etc) it shouldn’t be much of a problem. Head here to check out how to get Gingerbread on your Galaxy S phone. As usual, remember to back up everything and make sure you know what you’re doing before attempting anything.
