RIM acquires The Astonishing Tribe

RIM has just announced that they have acquired The Astonishing Tribe (TAT), a Swedish company renowned for their innovative user interface (UI) designs. With RIM being constantly criticized for how outdated their BlackBerry OS looks, roping in TAT to help out with the graphical duties sounds like a good idea. After acquiring QNX for their PlayBook, and now TAT, it looks like RIM are taking the necessary steps to take on the competition.
