Red and Black Sony Xperia X8 arriving in January in the UK

Sony Ericsson sure are trying to push the sales of their outdated, Xperia Android phones. In the latest attempt to push sales, they have partnered with Virgin Mobile UK to release their Xperia X8 phones in two brand new limited edition colors – red and black. The phones will go on sale January 1, for free on contract. I guess having some sales is better than having no sales, and if giving the phones a different colored shell is going to make the Android 1.6 phone move of the shelves, more power to Sony Ericsson. Let’s hope their new 2011 models won’t suffer the same fate. Who has plans to line up for one on New Year’s Day?
