Palm Pre disappears from online stores

It looks like the Palm Pre 2 is arriving very soon. It has been reported that the webOS device from HP Palm has mysteriously vanished from a number of online retailers, with no official word about where it’s been. The HP Wireless Central store, Amazon.com and Verizon’s online store seem to have let the phone go without any warning. It looks like if you want to get your hands on one of these babies, you’ll have to look a little harder- ebay or some other online stores instead. But with the Palm Pre 2 coming to our shores soon, does anybody want the older Palm Pre anymore? Or are waiting for webOS 2.0 to hit your Palm Pre device?
