Over 2 million Galaxy S phones sold in Korea, and reaching 10 million worldwide

It looks like Samsung are doing really well with their Samsung Galaxy S phones. It’s not often for a phone to overtake the sales of the iPhone in a country, but Samsung did just that with their Android-powered Galaxy S handsets in their home country. An impressive feat, considering that the iPhone has been around since 2009 and moved 1.8 million units (3GS and 4), while the Galaxy S which was only released this year has overtaken it with over 2 million units sold. But in terms of worldwide sales, Apple still holds the trophy with 14 million iPhone 4 sales, while Samsung has only hit 9.3 million sales all over the world in the same time period. Either way, it’s not a number to scoff at- the Galaxy S might be the first Android phone to hit the coveted 10 million mark. I wonder how well the Nexus S will do compared to its older brother.
