While unlocked Dell Streak users have been enjoying their official Froyo (Android 2.2) update for awhile now, AT&T users have to wait until January for it to reach their phones. Even users across the Atlantic Ocean on the O2 network have started receiving their Froyo updates this week and those who haven’t got it yet are expected to receive it by the end of the week. It’s quite a shame to see an old update being rolled out so late, especially when it’s already proven to be working on non-AT&T Streak phones. AT&T must be up to something if they’re taking such a long time to release it to their users. Let’s hope it’s just a case of slow testing and not because they’re loading the update with carrier bloatware. Are you still waiting for the official update or have you given up on it and flashed a custom update yourself instead?
