While Motorola are already dropping hints of their next CLIQ phone, it looks like they’re still working on updating the previous one. The T-Mobile CLIQ XT that was supposed to have its Éclair (Android 2.1) update 6 months ago still hasn’t got it yet. According to the latest reports, Motorola has the CLIQ XT marked as “additional testing in process; more details when available”. Sure seems like folks who hopped on the Motorola-Android bandwagon aren’t getting the same love as those who jumped on later for their Droid phones. Life’s unfair isn’t it? The worst part is that folks who bought the CLIQ XT on Walmart’s Straight Talk brand won’t be getting the update even though the phones are identical to T-Mobile’s. How many of you are still waiting for the update or have you rooted it and installed a custom ROM instead?
