A new trademark application from Motorola has just been discovered for the name “Xoom” in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and also Taiwan. With the category applied for defined as “Mobile computers and related accessories” it looks sure sounds like it could be a name for a funky, fast Motorola device, more specifically- a Tablet. Their Android tablet they will be announcing at CES next year doesn’t have an official name beyond the rumored Stingray/Everest codenames, so Xoom might just be it. Though we have yet to receive any official confirmation, we’ll be sure to let you know when it’s announced at CES. Any idea what the Xoom name could be used for?
