Metro UI on Android phones
If you’re using an Android phone but you’re in love with Windows Phone 7’s user interface, you’re in luck. Instead of having to fork out cash to get a new WP7 phone, there is a cheaper solution. Look for this app called “Windows Phone Android” on the Android Market and you’ll see what I mean. A developer has come up with an app that brings the Metro UI interface from WP7 onto your Android phone. The app is still in its early stages at the moment, but from what we can see so far, it looks pretty authentic. Given the nature of how protective companies are about their user interface designs, it’d be best to grab the app right now before Microsoft takes any action against it. It’s not free, but paying $3 sure beats the couple of hundred you’ll need to spend on a new WP7 phone. Plus you’ll get to keep all your favorite Android apps on your phone. Watch a video of Window Phone Android after the break. Is having the Metro UI on your Android phone something you would pay for? Windows Phone Android is available for purchase on the Android Market now.
