An alternative browser for Windows Phone 7 has hit the Windows Marketplace. Called Metro Browser, it seems to be everything that the default browser should have been. Metro Browser allows you to have an unlimited number of tabs; a full screen browsing experience in both orientations, a mode that optimizes desktop designed pages for your phone, privacy mode, search auto-complete provided by Google or Bing, it runs under the lock screen so you can quickly resume surfing if you leave the app, the browser is skinnable with built-in themes and the option for you to create your own, and more. Too bad it’s not free, though you can download a free trial which is ad-supported and has some features disabled. Metro Browser is now available from the Windows Marketplace for $1.99. Give it a shot and let us know what you think.
