Lenovo LePad updated
Lenovo, the Chinese-based computer manufacturer may have stated that they won’t be releasing a tablet this year, but that doesn’t stop them from making tablets. Recently, pictures of an upcoming Lenovo tablet/notebook hybrid have surfaced on the internet and they sure do look interesting. Carrying the round edges of the iPad, the Lenovo LePad slate has been reduced to 10″ from its previous 11.6″ size when it was revealed previously. It instead of the Skylight OS that it was previously shown with, it now runs Android 2.2 (it should ship with Gingerbread or Honeycomb if Lenovo keep to their word) and is rumored to ship with either the dual-core Tegra 2 processor or a brand new Snapdragon processor. In addition to the LePad tablet, they will be releasing a hybrid dock that turns the device into a notebook running Windows 7. Looks like Lenovo’s decision to play the waiting game is paying off, and they should be releasing an Android tablet that should stand apart from the crowd next year.
