Another good news report concerning Apple- it looks like their iPad is closing in on Amazon’s kindle in the eReader market share. Apple seems to be ending the year on a good note. In a survey of 2,800 consumers by ChangeWave, it shows that the Kindle had 47% of the share while the iPad had only 32%. Ownership of the iPad had doubled since the last time ChangeWave ran a survey, and the Kindle ownership has been dropping as well. If the trend continues, it looks like the iPad will be overtaking the Kindle by the time 2011 comes around. In the same survey, they reported customer satisfaction, and the iPad took the lead here with 75% while only 54% of Kindle users were very satisfied with their reader. It looks like Apple could dominate the eReader market if they play their cards right. After all, the iPad can do so much more than the Kindle, though the Kindle is much lighter and has its e-paper screen going for it, and not to mention it costs less than the iPad. Kindle and iPad owners out there, what do you think? Hit the break for the survey results.
