According to the giant computer manufacturer – IBM, we’ll be able to make calls like the folks in Star Wars very soon. For their predictions of what will be developed in the next 5 years, IBM placed 3D holographic mobile conversations at the top. Their other predictions included mobile devices will be powered by kinetic energy. IBM has continued to place a high importance on research and development – their expenditure of a whopping $5.8 billion for R&D alone will tell you that. An analyst of the predictions claims that, “These are all stretch goals, and that’s good. In an era when pessimism is the new black, a little dose of technological optimism is not a bad thing.” If 3D holographic mobile calls do become a reality, which manufacturer or operating system do you think will have access to such technology first?
