As we move on towards the future, resistive touchscreens are becoming increasingly less common while capacitive touchscreens are the way to go- nobody wants to use a stylus pen anymore. It was quite a surprise to find out that Gigabyte Technology, a company best known for its motherboards, is releasing a new entry-level resistive touchscreen Android smartphone. The GSmart Rola will be a dual-SIM smartphone, with a 3.2″ WQVGA display (240 x 400), a 528MHz processor, 256MB of RAM, 512MB ROM, a 3 megapixel camera, a microSD card support, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and an FM Radio. The phone will be released with Android 2.2 in the first quarter of 2011 in selected markets for about $231 (175 €). How many of you still use a phone with a resistive touchscreen?
