Gorillaz to give away an iPad-recorded album on Christmas

Remember the article posted awhile ago about Gorillaz recording an album on the iPad? Well, the Album has been completed, and it will be released for free online. This would be the first time in the world that anybody has completely recorded an album on an iPad. They made the announcement on their official website that also has an Advent calendar going on at the moment. They will be releasing a video to one of their songs on Christmas Eve, and on Christmas Day the complete album will be released. It’s going to be interesting to hear how it sounds like, in terms of quality and production, and I wonder what tools and apps were used in the creation of the record. It’s a great achievement in terms how much you can do with just using the iPad. And just like how Garage Band pushed a lot of sales for the MacBooks, an album like this will surely inspire a lot of musicians to grab an iPad to start making music of their own.
