Ford has just announced the launch of their first app – SYNC Destinations. This free smartphone app gives you SYNC traffic, directions and information that is stored in the cloud-based SYNC services account that can be accessed by users on the go. In addition to guiding you to your destination, the app has a Predictive Traffic feature that is powered by traffic information supplier – INRIX. Predictive Traffic can let you know which areas will be jammed, as well as the best times for you to depart an area, and how long it’ll take for you to arrive at your destination based on current and expected traffic conditions along the route. Talk about useful! This app should be a must-have for users who do a lot of driving and are sick of getting stuck in jams. The Ford SYNC Destinations app is available for both Android and iOS. It can be downloaded for free from the Android Market or the iTunes App Store. Though it’s only for North American users now, hopefully the service will roll out to the rest of the world.
