DuoSense screens coming to Android tablets

Ever since people adopted capacitive touchscreens instead of resistive touchscreens, stylus-input devices have slowly died out. Having a capacitive touchscreen tablet means that you won’t be able to work with anything but your fingers- unfortunately this meant you had less accurate input if you wanted to write or draw with your fingers which led to inaccurate finger writing for purposes such as calligraphy. Seeing how some people are missing the accuracy of stylus input, N-Trig wants to bring it back. But instead of bringing back resistive touchscreens, N-Trig is employing their new DuoSense technology that will allow both pen and touch- something that tablets haven’t been utilizing all this while. This technology will definitely increase the appeal of tablets to fans of both input methods, and will give users the flexibility to use whatever they feel more comfortable with at the moment. I.e. using finger touches for quick actions or while on the go, and the stylus when settled down on a table. DuoSense would be a welcome feature that will also help tablets stand out from the current crop, but are users willing to pay extra for it? Not to mention, apps will have to be developed to take advantage of such a feature. It sounds interesting at the moment, but we’ll have to see how things play out. What are your thoughts?
