If you haven’t gotten the update for Google Maps on your Android phone, and you’re feeling pretty impatient about trying out its new features we’ve got some good news for you. Someone uploaded the APK (Android Package) online for you to download and try out. New features of Google Maps 5.0 include new gestures to navigate 3D and vectorized maps, map caching (Google Maps can now store maps for offline use). Take note that not all phones will be able to take advantage of all its features though. It was last mentioned that only the Galaxy S, Droid, Droid X, Droid 2, Droid Incredible, EVO 4G, Nexus S or G2 phones are fully compatible with Google Maps 5.0. Click here to download the APK.
