Burglar pulls off a daring heist to steal 72 iPhone 4 handsets

You know somebody is desperate for an iPhone 4 when they resort to breaking into a warehouse just to get their hands on one (or seventy two in this case). Last Friday, a man in Shanghai, China did just that. With nothing but a couple of tools and some rock climbing equipment, he managed to scale a 2 meter wall, unplugged the surveillance camera, and snuck around some guards. He then made his way to the rooftop of the warehouse, cut a hole in the roof and lowered himself in using a rope. He then stuffed 72 iPhone 4 handsets into his backpack and made his way out by climbing up the same rope. But he wasn’t so lucky on the way out though, he had to abandon his loot while fleeing from the cops, and he was caught within 24 hours. When questioned about how he knew how to climb so expertly, he said he learnt it “from American film and TV programs.” I guess TV really does influence people.
