BlackBerry PlayBook has no issue with battery life

Looks like RIM has come out to quash all rumors of their upcoming QNX tablet having problems with battery life. In a recent statement they issued, RIM refutes the claims of poor battery life, and any issues that have been detected are only in non-optimized, pre-beta devices.

“Any testing or observation of battery life to date by anyone outside of RIM would have been performed using pre-beta units that were built without power management implemented. RIM is on track with its schedule to optimize the BlackBerry PlayBook’s battery life and looks forward to providing customers with a professional grade tablet that offers superior performance with comparable battery life.”

It looks like we can all stop holding our breath for the tablet now. Let’s hope RIM can ship the tablet on time and keep the audience in awe, especially after the impressive demos that were shown off a while ago. Who’s excited for the PlayBook?
