If you’re planning to get a Motorola Droid Pro or Droid 2 Global, it looks like you won’t be able to get it from Best Buy. Apparently Verizon has stopped the bargain hunter’s favorite store from selling the latest editions of their Droid phones, and they have prevented carrier activations from happening at Best Buy’s outlets. The reason for this has been announced as a “recall” of some sort, but rumors have it that Verizon is displeased at the low prices Best Buy have been selling their phones too cheap ($100 and $50 with a 2-year contract) and have been stealing the sales from Verizon’s own stores. What’s wrong if stores want to sell phones cheap? It’s a business after all. Looks like you’ll have to get your Droid phones elsewhere now.
